Hydrangeas and Leaves III Giclee Framed 'Classic Float'

Layered hydrangea blossoms and large leaf pressings paired with a wash of blue sky and dark shadow spaces are worked together in this vertical format watercolor painting.  It is part of the artist's, 'Botanical Series'  works which mix together for great wall groupings.  

Our 'Classic Float IlI' framed piece begins with a deckled edged giclee on watercolor paper that is mounted and floated (raised) above a contrasting deep speckled brown mat which is also mounted and raised above the back mat which is warm mottled texture designer mat.  The conservation glass is then raised above the mounted art within the frame which is subtly faux finished  in shades of taupe and warm brown. The frames sides are black.  All these carefully crafted layers create beautiful dimension and drama.  The outside dimensions of the framed piece are 17.25 x 37.5.
