That magic time of day when the water reflects the setting sun and becomes opalescent, soft and hypnotic, captured in oil on canvas to enjoy through out the year. Textural effects created by palette knife work add to the froth of the breaking waves and dune plantings and sand. Colors range from fresh blues and greens to more neutralized gray blues and tans. The piece is inspired by the artist's many late day visits to the Lake Michigan beach by her home.
