Cinque Terre fishing boats with their unusual stabilizing fins, appear to float above the reflective blue waters of the Mediterranean. The composition was created from many images from both memories and photos of the Italian villages perched on the cliffs of northwest Italy. Carrie has carefully yet loosely layered glazes mixed from just six starting hues, to create refreshing water shades, with lost and found edges. Her composition creates movement yet never looses the viewer's eye. Pairs well with 'Fogged In', also by Rodgers-O'Neal.
