Evening Gingko Leaves Giclee on Canvas Framed
Ginkgo leaves, each with a unique shape, size and color drift dramatically down. Walking into the gallery one morning, Carrie found hundreds of unique leaves in the grass under the Ginkgo trees lining Ninth street in Holland, Michigan. She collected handfuls and left them piled on the counters in the shop for days just to enjoy them as she worked. The leaves inspired a collection of paintings, beginning with realistic renditions and then moving to this magnified version in deep autumn colors on a dramatic dark background. There are also many choices in size and media for this popular work. This piece is framed in a weathered grey brown rustic frame, highlighted with deep charcoal filet for added enhancement.
