Weathered old sailboats on stanchions waiting for another sailing date. A loose watercolor with a soft suggestion of summer trees in the background was developed from many images the artist collected while visiting her parents along the St. John river in north Florida. ??¨Rich deep reds and golds, some sage and navy. ??¨(This piece is similar to Dry Docked at Gibson's II which was a second piece on the subject with compositional and substrate changes.)
