A colorful field of wildflowers in the foreground draws the viewer into this English farm scene. The location was Harlaxton College near Grantham, England where the artist's daughter attended school. In creating this watercolor, Carrie poured the watercolors onto the paper for the preliminary pastures and background then added the details of barn, fence and sky. A cheery country scene resulted.
