Retired To Their Cradles Giclee
Tucked along the north shore of White Lake surrounded by modest little houses can be found a small marina that had seen better days. None-the-less it was full of character and things to be discovered like these vintage sailboats found inside an old storage shed. I was transfixed with how the sparkling autumn sunlight reflected onto the underside side of the boats to reveal the graceful wooden hauls built years before by skilled craftsmen. In my imagination there seemed somehow a parallel to these boats and the fall season. Both were beautiful but too soon came to an end. Yet spring would return, and perhaps, these boats were being preserved to one day be restored.
