Watercolorist, Collage Artist and Crafter
Lois' mastery of a wide range of media and genre has resulted in a large body of works encompassing pencil, pastels, watercolors, oils, print making, and collage. Her enthusiasm for the arts and sharing with others is evident the moment you are introduced to her.
When Lois was young, she discovered that she loved to draw and usually spent her quiet time with a pencil or crayon in hand. She soon decided that an artist she would be, focusing on art in high school, then earning her bachelors in Art Education. She then began teaching art for Holland Public Schools. Through the years, she has painted primarily in watercolor because she finds it to be an exciting and challenging medium. Lois prefers to paint landscapes featuring her favorite subjects: trees, water and rocks.
