Sue Keen
Acrylic Artist
'Master of texture and foliage'
Sue is best known for her textural, colorful contemporary interpretations of birch trees and woodlands. Created using chiefly palette knife techniques and liberal layers of harmonious color.
Sue Keen is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Today a 100 year old farmhouse south of Holland, Michigan is home with her husband, son, dog and cat. When not in her home studio, Sue is employed as a nurse in the public health sector.
As a self-described constantly emerging artist and largely self-taught, Sue has been drawn to the visual arts and process since childhood.
In 2008, she enrolled in a painting class to officially satisfy her creative interests and happily hasn't looked back.
